C55 Black-Light Camera Module (HI3516CV610-00s + SC485L)
1 Overview
The C55 is a 4 MP full-colour black-light camera module built on the HI3516CV610-00s SoC with an SC485L 1/1.8" sensor. Day/night switching is full-colour in both modes, so the image stays in colour at night instead of dropping to black and white. The module is available as a bullet or a dome, and suits 24/7 monitoring points such as corridors, campuses, shops, farms and construction sites.
4G (Cat.1) is an option, covering China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, so sites without fixed broadband can go online with a SIM card. A 10/100M auto-sensing Ethernet port is always present, so wired deployments are unaffected.

8 FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| 1. Does the camera support custom development? Is there an API document? | Yes, the HTTP API is open for development. See http://docs.xvipcloud.com/web/#/38/258. |
| 2. How do I push the stream to my own server? | Your server must generate an RTMP push URL first; the camera pushes to that URL. |
| 3. Is it compatible with Hikvision or Dahua recorders? | Yes. |
| 4. What is the power draw? How long will a 30000 mAh battery last? | About 12 V / 130 mA; roughly 25 hours on a 30000 mAh battery. |
| 5. Can it take a photo on a schedule and upload it, for example one image per minute? | Yes. |
| 6. Is the firmware Android or Linux? | Linux. |
| 7. Can recording be started and stopped remotely? | Yes. |
| 8. Is there snapshot control? | Yes, with snapshot and screenshot functions. |
| 9. The image is upside down — where do I fix that? | Settings → image rotation; pick the orientation that looks correct. |
| 10. Does it record continuously? How many days fit? What happens when the card is full? | It supports continuous recording. Capacity depends on the card size, and recording is cyclic — the oldest footage is overwritten. |
| 11. Does the 4G version also support wired network? | Yes. |
| 12. What does my server need in order to receive a direct push? | It must support RTMP. |
| 13. Does the 4G camera support APN SIM cards? | No. Standard, unrestricted SIM cards are required. |
| 14. Can it push to a locally hosted streaming server? | Yes. |
| 15. Is the power connector DC 5.5-2.1? | Yes. |
| 16. Are the spare pins on the board usable? Is IO available? | TTL and IO pins are available. |
| 17. Is there a complete sample project? How do I get the JS API samples? | Android sample code is available. For JS API samples, open http://device-ip:9001/ in Chrome, right-click and choose “View page source”. |
| 18. Are there restrictions on the 4G SIM? Do IoT SIMs work? What about locked (private-APN) SIMs? | Unrestricted SIM cards and IoT SIM cards work. Locked SIM cards require your carrier to open the following domains and ports and add them to the whitelist:![]() |
| 19. Does it support WebRTC viewing across networks? | Yes, through the cloud platform. Once the traversal succeeds, one terminal can view across networks with no data charge; if traversal fails, traffic is relayed by the cloud platform and data charges apply. The number of terminals is not limited. |
| 20. Can it record to network storage? | Not as a stock feature. Cloud storage integration is a paid customisation. |
| 21. Does the 4G version work with Taiwan SIM cards? | Yes, with the correct APN configured. |
| 22. What format are the scheduled snapshots? | JPG. |
| 23. What is the normal operating voltage? | Above 10.8 V and below 13.2 V. |
| 24. Does it support RTSP push? | No. |
| 25. How is the 4G data plan charged? | By plan; renewal plans and data allowances are listed in the packing documentation or available from sales. |
| 26. How do I check the remaining data and top up? | Search for the “XST视联” mini program in WeChat, bind the SIM card number or ICCID, then check the balance and top up. |
| 27. Can it switch between landscape and portrait? Is it automatic? | It can switch, but not automatically — set it in the camera web UI. |
| 28. Which recording storage options are supported? | SD card, or an NVR. Cloud storage requires separate integration and is charged: Alibaba Cloud or Tencent Cloud are available (CNY 5,000 per cloud); other providers need a technical assessment by our team. |
| 29. Do you have your own cloud platform? | Yes, and a test environment is available. |
