Camera FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| 1. Does the camera support secondary development? Is there development documentation? | Yes, secondary development via HTTP APIs is supported. Camera API documentation: In-site Docs Center) Note: 1080P cameras support only the legacy HTTP API In-site Docs Center and 1080P cameras cannot be upgraded. |
| 2. How do I stream from the camera to my own server? | The server must generate an RTMP streaming address first. |
| 3. Is it compatible with Hikvision or Dahua NVRs? | Yes. |
| 4. Is motion detection alarm supported? We need to call an SDK remotely on the server to get motion detection alarm data. | Currently not supported; only remote video retrieval is supported. |
| 5. What is the resolution of 2MP? Can it be adjusted? | The main stream is 1920x1080. The resolution can be adjusted downwards. |
| 6. What is the power consumption of the camera? How long can a 30000mAh battery keep it running? | Power consumption is about 12V 100mA, which lasts about 30 hours. |
| 7. Can it take pictures and upload them to a cloud server on a schedule, for example one picture every minute automatically? | Customization required. |
| 8. Is the camera system Android or Linux? | Linux. |
| 9. Does the camera have a Bluetooth interface? | 2MP cannot be equipped with a Bluetooth module. |
| 10. Do you provide voice call software? | 2MP does not support calls; no software is needed for calls. Buy a 4MP camera that supports intercom and just open the web page. |
| 11. Can recording be started and stopped remotely? | Yes, you need to use our cloud platform for remote management, which incurs traffic fees. |
| 12. Is there photo capture control? | There is no photo capture control, but there is a snapshot function. |
| 13. The camera image is upside down. Where do I adjust it in the backend? | Image rotation in the settings; use whichever image orientation is correct. |
| 14. Is 24-hour recording supported? What is the maximum number of days? Is the recording cleared automatically when full? | 24-hour recording is supported. How many days can be recorded depends on the size of the memory card purchased. When full it is cleared; recording is looped. |
| 15. Do the 4G and WiFi versions support wired network? | Yes (note: 2MP is available in the wired version only, with no 4G or WiFi version. If you need 4G or WiFi, buy a camera with another resolution). |
| 16. Does 4G also support WiFi? | No, you can only choose one of 4G or WiFi (the SIM card supports 4G only, not 5G; WiFi supports 2.4G only, not 5G). Note: 2MP has no 4G or WiFi version, only the wired version. |
| 17. What are the requirements for my own server if I stream directly to it? | It must support the RTMP protocol. |
| 18. Do 4G cameras support APN cards? | APN cards are not supported; ordinary unrestricted cards are supported. Note: 2MP cameras have no 4G version. |
| 19. Can it stream to a locally deployed streaming server? | Yes. |
| 20. Is the power connector DC5.5-2.1? | Yes. |
| 21. Are the extra interfaces on the board available? Is IO available? | TTL is available, IO is available. |
| 22. Is there complete sample code for secondary development? How do I get the JS code? | Android sample code can be provided; for JS API call sample code, open the web page https://[device IP:9001/ in Chrome and right-click to view the source. |
| 23. Points to note about 1080P cameras | 1080P cameras do not support the new HTTP API, only the old API. 1080P cameras use the old UI and cannot be upgraded. |
| 24. Do you have your own cloud service platform? | Yes. XSTRIVE device management platform registration address: http://platform.xstrive.com/ ; device management platform user guide: In-site Docs Center |
