Scenario 1: Meeting Room Recording
Scenario Description
Enterprise meeting rooms need to record meeting content for archiving, review by absentees and review of important meetings.
Pain Point Analysis
- The traditional solution requires a computer + capture card + OBS software, which is complex to configure
- The computer needs to be on for a long time, and its stability is questionable
- Meeting organizers do not necessarily understand technical operations
- Exporting recorded files requires additional operations
Solution
Use the HDMI recording box to record the HDMI signal output by the meeting matrix or a computer.
Topology Connection

└──────────┘ │ │ └──────────┘
│ │
│ USB │◀─── USB flash drive (stores the recorded files)
│ │
│ ETH │◀─── Network cable → remote management
└──────────┘
Operation Steps
- Connect the meeting matrix output or the meeting computer's HDMI to the recording box's "HDMI IN"
- Connect "HDMI OUT" to the meeting room monitor (optional, for preview)
- Insert a USB flash drive formatted as exFAT
- Power it on; the device automatically starts detecting the signal
- Start recording when the meeting starts and stop recording when it ends
- Unplug the USB flash drive to view the video on a computer, or view/download it remotely through the web backend
Configuration Recommendations
| Parameter | Recommended Setting | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Video encoding | H.265 | High compression ratio, smaller files for long recordings |
| USB flash drive capacity | 64GB or more | A 2-hour meeting needs about 10~20GB (depending on the bitrate) |
| Network connection | Networking is recommended | Convenient for remote viewing and downloading |
Scenario 2: Teaching / Training Recording
Scenario Description
Schools and training institutions need to record course content for online teaching, course archiving and premium course production.
Pain Point Analysis
- Teachers are not good at operating complex recording software
- They need to see both the courseware and the recording status
- Courses are long and require stable recording
- Video files need to be easy to export and distribute
Solution
Use the HDMI recording box to record the HDMI signal output by the teacher's computer or a projector.
Topology Connection

│ ETH │◀─── Campus network (remote management)
└──────────┘
Operation Steps
- Connect the teacher computer's HDMI output to the recording box's "HDMI IN"
- Connect "HDMI OUT" to the classroom projector or large screen (the teacher can view the courseware normally)
- Insert the USB flash drive and power it on
- Start recording before class and stop recording after class
- Unplug the USB flash drive after class to copy the video, or download it remotely through the backend
Configuration Recommendations
| Parameter | Recommended Setting | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Video encoding | H.264 | Good compatibility, convenient for later editing |
| Audio input | HDMI embedded audio | Records the computer's sound |
| USB flash drive capacity | 64GB~128GB | A large capacity is needed for multiple classes in a day |
Scenario 3: Medical Image Recording
Scenario Description
Hospitals need to record surgery, examination and other medical image pictures for case archiving, teaching demonstration and remote consultation.
Pain Point Analysis
- Medical equipment (endoscopes, ultrasound, etc.) outputs HDMI signals
- Long, stable recording is required and cannot be interrupted
- The medical environment has high requirements for device reliability
- Video files need to be easy to export and archive
Solution
Use the HDMI recording box to record the HDMI signal output by medical equipment.
Topology Connection

│ Ultrasound device │───HDMI IN───▶ │ Recording box │───HDMI OUT───▶ Medical monitor
│ Surgical microscope│ │ │
└──────────┘ │ USB │◀─── USB flash drive
│ ETH │◀─── Hospital network
└──────────┘
Operation Steps
- Connect the medical equipment's HDMI output to the recording box's "HDMI IN"
- Connect "HDMI OUT" to the medical monitor (the doctor can view the picture normally)
- Insert the USB flash drive and power it on
- Start recording when the surgery/examination begins and stop when it ends
- Unplug the USB flash drive to export the video for archiving
Configuration Recommendations
| Parameter | Recommended Setting | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Video encoding | H.265 high bitrate | Maintains picture quality with moderate file size |
| Audio input | External microphone | Records the doctor's commentary |
| USB flash drive capacity | 128GB or more | Surgeries are long and require a large capacity |
Notes
- Medical recording involves privacy; pay attention to the secure storage of video files
- Back up the USB flash drive content to the hospital server regularly
- The device must comply with relevant medical environment regulations
Scenario 4: Security Surveillance Recording
Scenario Description
Security engineering companies need to record the pictures output by an NVR for backup of key periods and retention of forensic material.
Pain Point Analysis
- NVR built-in recording has a time limit, and key periods require additional backup
- Forensic work requires exporting video from specific periods
- Traditional export from the NVR is slow and the format is not universal
Solution
Use the HDMI recording box to record the HDMI signal output by the NVR.
Topology Connection
