UHD Image Mirror Rotator — Scenario Usage Guide

Scenario 1: Vertical-Screen Live Streaming (Most Common)

Applicable

Douyin live streaming, Kuaishou live streaming, WeChat Channels live streaming — converting landscape camera images to portrait output to a capture card / live streaming PC.

Connection Topology

[Camera / camcorder] --HDMI--> [UHD rotator] --HDMI--> [USB capture card] --USB--> [Live streaming PC / OBS]
                         (rotate 90° mode)

Operation Steps

1. Wiring: Connect the HDMI input to the camera HDMI output; connect the HDMI output to the capture card input
2. Power supply: Connect the DC 12V power adapter, wait for the STA indicator to stay on (about 5 seconds)
3. Select mode: Rotate the panel knob; each press advances one mode:
   - Press once → rotate 90° (landscape to portrait) ✅ Use this for vertical-screen live streaming
   - Press twice → rotate 180°
   - Press three times → rotate 270°
   - Press four times → restore
4. Confirm the image: Check whether the image orientation in the monitor / capture software is correct
5. Start streaming: Push the stream normally in OBS or other live streaming software

Precautions

• The camera must be set to landscape shooting mode; the rotator handles the conversion to portrait
• If the image is reversed left-right, keep turning the knob to the corresponding mirror mode
• Remote control pairing: long-press the green button on the remote control for 3 seconds; pairing succeeds when the STA indicator blinks

Scenario 2: Digital Signage / Vertical Advertising Screen

Applicable

Vertical display scenarios such as shopping malls, exhibition halls and elevator advertising, adapting ordinary landscape content sources to vertical screens.

Connection Topology

[Content player / PC] --HDMI--> [UHD rotator] --HDMI--> [Vertical screen display]
                         (rotate 90° or 270°)

Operation Steps

1. Connect the HDMI output of the player to the rotator HDMI IN
2. Connect the rotator HDMI OUT to the vertical screen display
3. After powering on, select rotate 90° or 270° (according to the screen orientation)
4. If the content needs a mirror effect (e.g. mirror advertising), switch to the corresponding mirror mode
5. After fixed installation, the firmware can be managed remotely through the Ethernet port

Precautions

• It is recommended to label the current mode number after fixing the mode
• The last used mode is retained after power-off and restart
• When running 7×24h, make sure the ambient temperature does not exceed 70°C

Scenario 3: Projection Image Correction

Applicable

Scenarios where ceiling-mounted or side-mounted projectors cause upside-down or tilted images.

Connection Topology

[Signal source (laptop / player)] --HDMI--> [UHD rotator] --HDMI--> [Projector]

Common Issue Quick Reference

Precautions

• Ceiling-mounted projection usually selects rotate 180°
• Side-mounted projection selects 90° or 270° according to the actual orientation
• The red button on the remote control can quickly go back one step, which is very convenient during debugging

Scenario 4: Surveillance Image Adaptation

Applicable

Security surveillance images need to be displayed correctly on monitors with different aspect ratios.

Operation Points

• Surveillance camera → HDMI output → rotator → surveillance monitor
• Adjust the rotation angle according to the monitor orientation
• Supports cascading multiple units (each signal processed independently)

First Power-On Checklist

• [ ] Connect the DC 12V power supply
• [ ] Connect the HDMI input to the signal source
• [ ] Connect the HDMI output to the display device
• [ ] The PWR indicator lights up
• [ ] The STA/RUN indicators light up, indicating normal operation
• [ ] Turn the knob to the required image mode

Remote Control Usage

1. Pairing: long-press the green button for 3 seconds → STA indicator blinks → pairing successful
2. Rotate forward: press the green button = rotate 90° (forward)
3. Rotate back: press the red button = go back 90°
4. Cycle rule: after reaching 360° (restored), continuing to press enters mirror mode
